Tim Devereaux - Guitar, Vocals
With 4 Sunnie Awards to his name, and a great stage presence Tim brings a new dimension to The BobKats. Tim has played with. Bernhard Fanning and opened for Stevie Ray Vaughan. His low growling tunes are a real treat, we are very excited and happy to welcome Tim into, The Bobkats!
Janelle - Double Bass, Vocals
Janelle is the bands "Bass Hound" On the Bull Fiddle, this gal has a lot of pent up frustrations and she takes it out on that bass. Man she slaps it like it owes her money.
Janelle is the reason that BobKatabilly was born, with solid bass lines and that fat slapping sound people just start clapping and stomping hog style. Janelle is fully endorsed and sponsored by. www.thebassshop.com .
Dave - Drums, Vocals
Dave The Bands "Drum Hound" This Kat never sits down it is part of his fitness program to play drums standing up.
Dave lays down a hypnotic groove that sets the pace and the foundation for that BobKatabilly beat.
Influences
The Bobkats would like to thank:
Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochrane, Carl Perkins, Stray Cats, Chrome Daddies, Pony & Ten fours / Slingshots, 80 Cube, Kats from Rockabilly Bass, Paulie Bourke, Everyone who's ever come to see us, bought a CD, listened to a mp3, told a friend about us, or just said "hi" at a gig, everyone and everything that is REAL ROCKABILLY, last but not least Jesus Christ for the confidence to do what we love.
The Bobkats are a hard-driving Rockabilly 3 piece, with riffs so clean you could eat off them.
They hit the mark every time, 3 years running.
The BobKats decided they would not follow the normal band setup and have gone out on a limb with the make up and instruments selection. Reflecting a time when the music was clean but infectious it is hard to keep still when The BobKats play.
The style is primarily Rockabilly, but there are influences from Country, Swing, and Rock n Roll - Come and see us sometime, and you'll see what we mean.
These Kats just hypnotize you with that beat. BobKatabilly is here!
