The Bois d'Arcs have consisted of many members over the years, but they have finally found the right combination of musicians to complete their sound. Each member has spent their share of time in mostly rock and blues bands.
Shayne, the founding member of the band, spent many years in rock bands before switching to the music he grew up on. The founding member of Strict Order and Brown Paper Bag, Shayne had 2 albums on the under his belt before starting the Bois d'Arcs.
Ian started playing at age 4, got serious at age 11, and in a few years was playing venues from Dallas to Wichita Falls in a classic rock band with his dad. He then went on to play in several different types of bands before joining the Bois d'Arcs.
Joseph has played in many rock bands in the Deep Ellum scene of Dallas, in addition to playing in the classic rock band with Ian and his dad for two years. He honed his chops playing every genre of music that he could find others engaged in.
Bryant Hunter is the newest Bois D'Arc. He joined the band in January of 2008. Bryant has played in various bands including The Molly Maguires, Dirty Blond, Ricky Lynn Gregg, and Sony recording artists Dusk till Dawn.
Together they have found a sound that is totally their own. And as long as they have an audience, whether 1 or 10,000, they will continue to spread their brand of Texas Music.

Somebody tell Bryant I have a jar of pickles with his name on it...yum...hot, spicy, garlic pickles! I'm hopin' these are as good as last years'. I made 28 quarts this time, which might be good or bad - we will only know when we eat some, which can be no sooner than two months from now!
Mackenzie and Ricky are getting married in May. How have you been doing? We are going Saturday and start looking at dresses. They didn't give me much notice but thats Mackenzie, right? LOL Oh hey! I already took the pics to be printed lol! Some of them were soo freakin hilarious! And i loved the picture of us ... it was sooo cute..so yah, guess what? 'member those surveys i was doing online? well, i got 2 checks so far! told ya it was real!! it aint like a ton of money, just like 175 so far, but its good coin to start with, right? you should really do it, now that i've gotten paid ..i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

Good. I was wondering when you were going to put some new gigs on the calendar. So the Cottonboll finally booked you back. Been over a year hasn't it? It should make PJ and Ron happy since they haven't been able to make a show lately. Come over to Doc's this Friday night, my band is doing a paid rehearsal there and it would be nice to have one or more of you sit in for a couple. We start at 9.

your welcome guys matter of fact i djayed the night i saw you guys. it was at lonestar pub in ft. worth. i would have to have seen you guys at the lonestar festival in San Angelo this past weekend. they have another show in sept. don't know the dates but you guys should try to get in on that those college kids would eat it up.
