Bone Circus was formed in the late 80's by Johnny "Bone" Young in response to what, at the time, was a fairly closed-minded Dallas club scene when it came to original music. The desire of all the BC members to play original hard rock and their refusal to compromise and bend to cover band rules in the local clubs made them among the first hard rock bands in D/FW to play all-original music in Deep Ellum.

They attracted the attention of drive-time disc jockey "Mad" Max Hammer on Z-ROCK satellite radio who began to manage the band in earnest, helping them grab opening slots for national acts like Danzig, Manowar, Circus of Power and others. Hammer's consistent airplay of Bone Circus helped them garner much-needed nationwide exposure.

While the band would certainly take its lumps and the lineup would change over the years, Bone Circus continued to gig around the scene and around the country. The songs available for listening and download are among the best from their extensive repertoire.

A re-tooled lineup consisting of original members Johnny Bone, John Webb, Raz Callahan and Chris Gilbreath are now immersed in writing material for an upcoming release.
