    Hekima was part of the Projekt Feenix Hip-Hop crew making his name as a rapper but always wanted to work on his own roots album. .... In 2009 Hekima left the Feenix crew to do just this. Along with Stewart and The Warren centre Hekima has been working on music honing in of his craft and songs until June last year when Hekima and Stewart put together a full live band for the Refugee Week festival. .... Due to the success of this performance the demand was on to push this band further so they went on to play the Love Music Hate Racism show at The Hull City Hall and are currently playing the circuit around Hull before heading out of town and beyond. .... In 2010 The Bongo Flava released their debut album 'SONRISE' on Warren Records. 10 tracks featuring countless musicians and guests who came together to fuse many musical styles exploring reggae, afrobeat, hip hop, funk and much more all on a back drop on an African landscape. .... Their shows are always full of high energy and participation which always leaves the audience on a high with a smile on their faces. ....
