    General

Meeting new people, writing, theater, pilates, yoga, running outside, long bike rides, anything on or near the water, affordable but beautiful lingerie, playwriting, movies, travelling, cheese, chocolate, fast cars, live music, sunsets, meditating, salsa dancing, hanging with my girls, and all the breast!!
  • Music

Music moves me. I played piano as a kid (and guitar and drums and violin) but gave up in my teens (who knows why). I listen to music all the time, except when I'm writing. Please recommend music that shakes your booty (or boobies)!
  • Movies

Love Seattle International Film Festival. I'll watch action, chick flicks, foreign, children's, anime, musicals, comedy, or film noir. Old or new, I like all movies, even the pathetically bad ones. Enjoy the brand new movie rush you get from seeing them opening day. Love the trailers, hate the commercials. Don't know what I'd do w/o NetFlix!
  • Television

    I don't watch TV.
  • Books

Huge fan of J. Krishnamurti, Pema Chodron, et. al; but also reading non-fiction titles regarding the brain and creativity.
  • Heroes

Robert Knatt, former Washington Middle School band director and peanut-head.

About me:

My name is Elisabeth Squires and I am the Boob Lady. I'm the mother of three and the daughter of a breast-cancer survivor. My mission is to get women to appreciate their breasts, to learn more about them and be comfortable with them. Over the years I've written stories and observations about my own breasts, about how they, and my attitudes toward them, have changed throughout my life. When I encouraged my friends to do the same, I found they had similar stories to tell. Some loved their breasts while others found them awkward, uncomfortable and even embarrassing. These "mammoirs" formed the basis for my first book bOObs: A Guide to Your Girls. It includes advice from experts (doctors, lingerie fitters, trainers, etc.) on how to put your "best breast forward" at every stage of your life. The Library Journal named bOObs one of their 2007 best consumer health books! I'm working on a second book for young girls, ages 8-14. To learn more and to join in the dialogue, visit me at booksonboobs.com or email me at mammoirs@gmail.com.

Who I'd like to meet:

Women (and men) who want to know more about breasts, who are looking for a little guidance, or have their own stories to tell. Bring me your questions, fill out my questionnaire, contribute to the mammoirs and have fun. Never fear..the bOOb Lady is here (to help)!

Hi Elizabeth.  Thanks very much for adding Komen Central Valley.  Here is our position regarding recent recommendations from the USPSTF.

“Susan G. Komen for the Cure wants to
eliminate any impediments to regular mammography screening for women age
40 and older. While there is no question that mammograms save
lives for women over 50 and women 40–49, there is enough uncertainty about the
age at which mammography should begin and the frequency of screening that we
would not want to see a change in policy for screening mammography at this
time. Komen’s current screening guidelines can be found at www.komen.org and would not be changed without serious
    consideration."

"SURELY WE CAN'T LET THIS SITUATION CONTINUE.. CAN WE?"
A SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR US ALL FROM SIR DAVID FROST REGARDING PHOTO DYNAMIC THERAPY CANCER TREATMENT.

With much due respect, sometimes I have to ask myself why there has been no support from ANY of the Cancer Awareness Sites for the treatment of Photo Dynamic Therapy that is clearly outlined on my page.

Sir David Frost asks the same question in his message and he hopes (as we do) that all Cancer Awareness & Support Networks back this treatment 100%.

Please listen carefully and hear what Sir David has to say in this brief message - and be aware that although PDT is not widely licensed for use, it IS NOW Licensed in the USA for the FIRST TIME and patients can now consider this option as a far less invasive and far more successful treatment for breast, skin and prostate cancers in particular.
Please.... read my page carefully and see our official website at www.pdtcancertreatment.com
A monumental leap forward in cancer treatment has now taken place.

Pink ribbons will not cure cancer. PDT has a significantly high success rate in doing so.

With much respect... please help us to save suffering and save lives by sharing & using this knowledge, and also by becoming a true campaigner with us for Photo Dynamic Therapy - a successful cancer treatment which has been kept hidden for far too long. Again, we must ask "surely, we can't let this situation continue, can we?”

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Moms Tears designed a shirt that will allow for you to honor those you love affected by Breast Cancer.
There is limited space on the shirt and the name placement will sell out fast.  Go to www.momstears.com and purchase your shirt selection TODAY!!! 24 hours  after you have finished the check out process you will receive an e mail from Moms Tears asking for the name of the person you wish to honor. One name is submitted with each order.  If you have more than one person to honor you must order additional shirts.
There is an illustration of the look of the shirt on momstears.com  The time table is as follows
ALL Orders MUST be placed by October 31st.  Shirt artwork may be closed out prior to this date if names fill up prior to close out date.
Artwork for the shirt will begin immediately and a proof of artwork will be sent to THE E MAIL ADDRESS LINKED TO YOUR PAY PAL ACCOUNT the second week of November.  Shirts will be printed and shipped to arrive by the first week of December.
This is a huge project as I just completed a shirt just like this for Miscarriage/Infant Loss/SIDS Angels.  You can see pictures of that shirt on www.myspace.com/momstears
Shirts are $24.95 and this includes shipping
