    We had very humble beginnings starting out as a cubicle-based trio (..Cristal, Meg and Matt..) singing songs about hyperactive cats, swampbuggies and tornadoes. It's all we knew..... As we added key members to the band--..Lori.. on vocals, ..Tom.. on bass, ..Ross.. on drums--we developed our sound and expanded our songwriting to include topics such as building relationships, the destruction of those relationships, and the rebuilding of THOSE destructed relationships. And we ramped up a pretty fun live show in the process..... .."Misisipi" Mike Wolf.. was added to replace ex-boyfriend guitarist Jon Seltzer (long story) and there you have the modern sounds of The Bootcuts.
