We had very humble beginnings starting out as a cubicle-based trio (Cristal, Meg and Matt) singing songs about hyperactive cats, swampbuggies and tornadoes. It's all we knew.
As we added key members to the band--Lori on vocals, Tom on bass, Ross on drums--we developed our sound and expanded our songwriting to include topics such as building relationships, the destruction of those relationships, and the rebuilding of THOSE destructed relationships. And we ramped up a pretty fun live show in the process.
"Misisipi" Mike Wolf was added to replace ex-boyfriend guitarist Jon Seltzer (long story) and there you have the modern sounds of The Bootcuts.

I posted my clip, Neurofibro, to my myspace page yesterday and I hope you will take a moment to watch. It talks about the genetic, childhood disease, neurofibromatosis, which I have and which has left me paralyzed for 10 years now.
For those of us, who are sick, it is vital to mobilize for a cure. Please, watch my clip and, if you would like to help, please send it on to your friends. With this clip our voice will be heard, and more people, and the media, will learn about this tragic disease. By spreading the word we will have achieved something great, a better chance at finding the cure we so desperately desire.
