The Booze Hounds saga is a long one, to say the least! If you’d have to start somewhere, it would be September of 1996(technically). But it truly began to begin on February of 2001, with singer/guitarist Brian Celi.
The origins of the band were from the ashes of many bands, but the one band that spawned the original Booze Hounds was Another Lost Cause. During their hayday, they’d been a sight to see live. The newly formed Boozehounds consistently had problems, mainly with bassists and drummers. At one point, the band was just Brian. With a DIY ethic, he recorded the now classic ’No Sympathy’ EP, which was recently re-released on Ludeboy Records. Not only did he write all the music and lyrics, but had single-handedly played every instrument on the recording! He engineered and recorded it on his own as well.
In the months to come, he would recruit partner’s in crime J.C., Payam and Chris. Most of these members have been in ridiculous amounts of bands, including a few acts with plenty of notoriety!
Keep your eyes and ears open for this band, because it’s due time rock n’ roll was redefined. I dont know if you’re anything like these guys, but if you’ve had enough of this plastic punk rock, emo, whiney, hip-hop metal, bullshit toughguy crap... then The Booze Hounds are the band for you!
