"The Boozin' Of The 5000" is an upcomming punk festival to be staged in South-East London, taking place on Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th of September 2008. It is a collaberation of South London punk promoters.
The event will be 2 all day gigs spread across 4 venues. These venues are;
The Birds Nest, Depford.
The Deptford Arms, Deptford.
The Goldsmiths Tavern, New Cross.
The New Cross Inn, New Cross.
All in all there should be something in the region of 60 bands playing. Music that ranges from anarcho-punk to dub reggae, psychobilly to ska-core.
There will also be many other activities and entertainments; accoustic music, plays, films, food + merch stalls, bouncy castle (for kids) + more.
THIS WILL BE A FREE ENTRY FESTIVAL
We will also be raising awareness and taking donations for local charitable organisations.
