Hello, my name is Alicia, and I'm THAT person. I usually go by Laroth among online circles. I'm always bored, and I blend in easily when I want to. I'm antisocial and type A. I'm a Taurus and a Dragon. I always like irony and decent wit. My favorite color is red, but it's not very easy on the eyes. I broke a girl's arm when I was in preschool. I was born in 1988, and have unfortunately lived in Vandergrift (actually Parks Township) all my life, though my life has never lacked excitement. I've never been outside of North America, but I have been to California, which is more than 99% of the people around here can say. I am finally happy with most of my life.

I spend my days living in the shadow of the end of the world. It makes me laugh when people tell me I'm too dark or too emotional, because if you're anything else, you're not letting yourself see the whole picture. (Hell, spend 3 hours watching CNN. THAT'll bring you down a few notches on the cheer scale.) I've now had ten years with the whole picture, and I was quite likely the only 12-year-old I've ever known with a Will. If it's not Lightning Eye, it's Ravencleft. If it's not Ravencleft, it's Absu. If it's not Absu, it's the Third. And if it's not the Third, it's the damn Councilors trying to kill eachother. I'm the owner/manager of Celestial Dreams Gifts & More, because it's the only work I don't despise. My store is currently between locations, but I'm working on an online version. I've been self-employed since the age of 14. I do alot of different things both professionally and just as hobbies, including candlemaking, jewelry making, writing, drawing, some light web design, graphic design, and TV watching. I love both reading, and writing, books, but I go through phases where I can't get myself to finish one.

I've been living with my fiance, Elyas/Anthony, since January of 2006. We've known eachother in this life since December of 2001, and I would like to say that I hope we'll get married this year, but I doubt it, lol. We just changed our date because of vendor issues and time constraints. Our original date fell on the 6th anniversary of the day we met. (The 5th was a weekend in Pittsburgh that included a gas leak at Monroeville mall.)
This wedding has been a long time coming, and I'm still convinced one of us is going to get hit by a bus before we make it down the aisle, which, if we postpone it any further, is looking more and more likely...

I've spent over 20 years discovering exactly who I am. And because of that, I have nothing but disdain for people in denial, people who believe blatant lies, and conservative Republicans. (Most people I know are probably reading this right now and wishing they had a dictionary so they can look up "disdain.") I sincerely wish I knew more people who got more than a D in 7th grade English, because if I did, maybe I wouldn't be this hateful and cynical, but alas, I live on Earth. Trust me when I say hateful and sarcastic is a big improvement on insane and dark. (If you remembered sixty thousand years of pain and death, you wouldn't be a ball of sunshine, either.)

Trust, respect, and love are all things I give seldom, but often enough to gain them in return. (Textbook Taurus, really.) Some people take these three virtues for granted, and I think I owe them something because of blood. I have cut those people out of my life. Hopefully, in their spare time, they can contemplate the meanings of the words "forsaken" and "unforgivable," and understand, if love was given to people you resent, that it would become tainted and less than it should be.

I consider myself Pagan in the Sumerian tradition, but for some reason, MySpace doesn't have that option. I'm an Otherkin, and could write a Jenny-McCarthy-esque book about Awakening. (Hopefully minus the glow in the dark stretchmarks...) What is an Otherkin? Otherkin: noun, meaning a person or persons who believe they are something other than entirely human, physically and/or spiritually; usually related to reincarnation and/or mythology. I have emotions that aren't supposed to exist, and I think people are more than their occupation or lineage. I care more about sincerity than about your opinion of my sanity. I fall into deep depressions when something happens in my life I can't deal with. And no, professional help won't help. I've been suicidal, I'm constantly masochistic to varying degrees, and if you can't make the effort to understand why, it makes me want to sob in frustration. There is a lot more to life than white picket fences, children, drugs/alcohol, and college degrees, and contrary to those motivational posters, not all of it is good. But maybe that makes the good feel all the better.

Most of my friends are older than me, and hold different beliefs than I do. I'm very open-minded, and I expect others to be the same.
