The Bowie Room formed Originaly as a four piece band in early 2005,performing Bowie ,Roxy music,T-rex,Lou Reed,Iggy Pop etc, from 70's---early 80's.The concept is ...we play the sounds from the Bowie/Roxy rooms heard in the clubs of that era.We are not a "tribute band".I consider us a "theme band"and we do put our own stamp on some of the songs we perform.First line up was...drums, bass, lead guitar, lead vocal guitar.Unfortunately bass and drums(Chris) had a minor dispute which led to a split. Myself (Nick)and the bass man(then) felt we had enough material to take The Bowie Room out as a 2 piece, obviously unplugged as I DON'T do backing trax. After only a few live appearances the bass man (then)had a career change that would take him abroad, which paved the way for bass man ..2 .We were together for 4 months(still unplugged) in mid 2006.We tried to add other musicians to fill the sound but could find nobody suitable.I decided to put The Bowie room on hold, frustrated that it wasnt going to plan.Wrote and recorded a few originals at the end of 2006 and decided to give The Bowie Room 1 last shot in 2007...February got Chris (drums)back on board,March got Rob (bass) on board,May final piece Graham (lead guitar) line up complete!!!.... After 4 months rehearsing Played 1st gig as 4 piece on 03/08/07,was a blast!!! gotta get new demo recorded soon, as the sounds on this site are unpplugged 2 piece,we now are full on "screaming guitars" + a tad of sax...If you dig this kinda music,do get to see us,we're not your average pub band Knockin out standards. Please keep chekin site for new sounds/pics and dates of course...hope to see you at 1 of our gigs . Nick x ...update March 08,we have new lead guitarist,( Rob )...After Graham parting from "thebowieroom"October 07..we had been using a dep guitarist Phil, who couldn't join us full time due to other commitments,Phil played exellent for us (big hug and thanks Phil)that gave us lots of time to audition and find the right person which we have in Rob,he's a big Ronno fan. Nick x.....july 08.Phil back as "full time" lead guitarist...thanks and good luck to Rob,we had some good momments. Nick x.
I’m happy to announce you that I’ve put a new song on my page : « A mon père » (« To my father »). On piano, the great pianist Mike Garson (David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Raphael)… with whom I continue at the moment a collaboration.
Hey Mr. Nick!!!!!! Life is goooood, great! I bought a house and moved in to it in early November, the Wesman and myself. Working LOTS (still from home), the little guy is good (not so little anymore) and I am enjoying life! Just trying to stay positive. I behave myself as best as a Moof can. I stop and listen to your music whenever I sign on to this crazy space place. Wish I could see you guys do it live. Oh well, least I get to hear you on here. Hope all is well with the H and everyone. Okay, reminder to self, stop using the exclamation point!!!!! Be good Nickers xxxx

Hi Nick, hows it going? I'm doing great with the music, got loads of gigs at the Trafford Centre, just got a contract at the Hard Rock Cafe for a Vegas night, and was featured in the Messenger this week! Me and Val are going to support Kev singing with Fat Chance at the Garrick on Sunday night, see you there if youre going. Check my page for my dates and come say hello at one of my gigs, also let me know when and where yours are so I can pop along. Take care mate and keep in touch. Wayne
