Originally formed in 2004 to play at their high school's 'battle of the bands', The Box Policy quickly grew to be much more. Winning top prize at said battle of the bands only confirmed their drive and talent. The guys chose to forgoe immediate post secondary education to focus on their passion, music. Mixing some of their biggest influences such as Blink 182, AFI, and Taking Back Sunday they started opening for bands such as Kiros, Daggermouth, TheSet and Stutterfly and quickly landed a large fan base in their home town of Williams Lake, BC. The Box Policy continued to play shows throughout interior BC, and self recorded/ produced a 6 track EP entitled 'Go Commando' before parting ways in the fall of 2005.
After two and a half years apart and a move to sunny Kamloops BC, singer/guitarists Bryan and Dan, along with fellow founding member Kris on bass had all grown significantly as musicians and reformed the band with new member, Sheldon on drums. Elements of ska, pop-punk and synth rock were combined with their original roots to create new songs, each with a unique sound. With a new EP on the way and a summer tour in the works, there is no end in sight for The Box Policy!
