the box set have been described as === "gutter-dwelling Fischerspooner dark groove" (vanityproject.co.uk) === "cheap" (playlouder) === "aggressive and very danceable: edgy, militant disco brilliance" (drownedinsound). jacky and richey are the box set, you know. and they make all their music on stupidly cheap instruments. they can actually go on tour without a plug adaptor if they wanted, as all their instruments are battery-powered. and they want to be friends with you!
I'm happy to announce that my new album "Songs From The Films Of David Lynch" is out now.
"Truly unsettling and perplexingly brilliant... testament to both the quality of Lynch’s soundtracks and Truax’s talents" - The Skinny
"Truax is paying homage to a kindred spirit with this album. It's the best kind of tribute – affectionate and respectful, but with its own quirks and imaginative leaps and its own distinct identity." -The Scotsman

Hey
Club Shhh had it's license revoked last night (Wednesday) so we've been going crazy to find a new venue, and so...
We're doing the electro rave with Kissy Sell Out and Club Pony at THE NEUTRAL ROOM in THE PLUG - that's the one that Razor Stiletto/Urban Gorilla used.
We've got Go!Sheffield Magazine to come along and do decor/visuals, we're skiving off work tomorrow to hang up drapes and stuff to make the room intimate (and we're putting up a lower ceiling).
It's also cheaper now as The Plug have all the things we were hiring - £5 advance list and £6 on the door. It'll go on from 10.30pm til at least 4am officially, but they've said we can keep it going til 6am as long as we have a good crowd who are buying plenty of booze (should be a goer, then).
The hundreds of people on the advance list are still guaranteed entry, and we're keeping that open til Friday. We'll be all over Myspace tonight and tomorrow, plus e-mailing plus going out flyering/postering so everyone should know by tomorrow night. Should be an ace party, we reckon...
