As a teenager I was bassist for a band called Catch-22 but left before we had a chance to practice together. They just called me their bassist because I could play Daytripper by the Beatles and their actual bassist couldn't.
At uni about 5 years ago, having spent far too long shouting about hard trance, I finally saw sense. Since then I've spent my time wisely, putting on nights with my mates, getting steaming then leaving early without telling anyone. Phonic Crew disbanded early summer 2006 with a tearful farewell to the Bradford scene, each member moving on to pastures new, setting up new nights, maintaining habits and destroying themselves with booze.
I got into producing a few years back, churning out woeful dirge with my chum Philly B by the bucketful. All of this material was thankfully destroyed when Phil broke or lost his laptop and I broke my PC by putting it in a bin. Since then my output has hopefully been of a mildly better standard.
Since then I've also DJ'd alongside Drop the Lime, Star Eyes, Nat Monday, Bez from the Happy Mondays, Jon O'Bir, Gianni Spinelli, Blaykola, Oscar Triggles and some other I can't remember now.
Latest release is up on Beatport now, Jo Kira - De Nada with remixes from Aniki, The Bulgarian, Ivan Allard and Hostage. There's clips of all the mixes on our myspace so let us know what you think :)
