I am The Boy lacking of Patience. Christopher JOhn. I play the piano and sing, and sometimes accordion and bass drum too, but often people don't have pianos, so I play my roland keyboard.
My music is this formula:
Early Julie Andrew's fixation The movie Tarnation
OVER
X
OVER
Classical Piano Tuition
eccentric rhythms and melody
= ME.
I have been working on my second album for a while. I have been searching for the sound. I found it about two months ago, so now i just need to liberally apply it to all the songs, and then start turning the handle of the cd maker machine.
art performance project i was involved in by Jeremy Lorne Ingles - project was titled Dumkoppf - go see pictures.... (i doing a handstand)

Hello Christoff, I have scanned photos from the good old days at Salford uni and you're on quite a few of them. Horlock court, Claremont road and even one or two in a pub in Manchester. If you want to see them... you'd better send me some more music :)))) just kidding. I've uploaded them all on facebook. But because you haven't got an account, I'll email them to you tonight or tomorrow.
Thanks for adding me, and for the thoughtful dialogue about music. I have to tell you, I live in St. John's Newfoundland & Labrador where we had 'the Accordion Revolution' "Nearly 1,000 people played their accordions in St. John's, setting a world record for the largest crowd to play the instrument simultaneously"
but I've never heard an accordion played as mournfully as yours on your composition, 'Plain Sailing'. It sits perspiring nervously, between the sound of the organ in versions of J.S. Bach's 'Die Kunst Der Fugue', and the distant ship's horns & fog horns I've heard here in St. John's.
Few artists posssess your unique gifts: the ability to speak honestly through creation with such poise and stylistic variance. The gift of juxtaposing the ebullience of "like sugar" to the yearning, brave, alomst pensive self-analysis that is "Christopher John", and the courage to adorn minimalist beauty with a melange of vulnerability and resolute individuality. Thanks for summoning the heart from classicism and sharing with us the living alchemy that is your music.
hallo again christopher, we met on a train. you don't think you could email me a copy of simple boy do you? i'm quite obsessed with it. listen to Two in the Hand, she's ace.
Just picked up the album from my mail box. I can do nothing but listen and dissolve. (and I'm only on track two!)
Anyway, I was wondering about a lyric from 'Sugar'.
My friend from Glasgow tells me that people in Scotland refer to benzodiazepine tranquilizers(Valium, temazepam etc) in the slang as "jellies". Does the line; "We'll float away with jelly babies..." mean what I think it does?
I've been standing at my university mail drop counter for a week now arguing with the librarian: "Where's my Boy Lacks Patience album? Where's my BLP album....for fuck's sake woman I don't know why you haven't made it come yet but where's my BLP album!?!"
I'm waiting for the day it arrives and she shoves it in my face and screams "Here's your damn Boy Lacks Patience album!"
I think I heard through the vine somewhere that you were in Brighton. I'm very likely heading down there for the end of the month. Would be charming to see you ;)

Nice song Chris! 4 of us started a band for the fun of it. I play the bass. Practised in a tiny studio about 4.5m by 3.5m in size using equipment powerful enough for a big hall. Played covers and one instrumental of ours. The band has no name yet. A friend of mine is coming to Sofia to play a gig in April TPD you should do that too some day.
