The Brain Echoes are three sonic adventurers on a mission to play real music. Bruce Merson is from the Bronx, NYC where he opened for Blondie and The Talking Heads in his band Mox. He frequented the NYC club scene including CBGB's and the Knitting Factory. In Portland he has played Geno's, and The Asylum. Bruce becomes a cartoon behind the drums, where he displays a keen sense of time and power Zeke Comparetto is from the western foot hills of Maine now residing in Portland, ME and has played at Geno's rock club. Zeke plays a scorching guitar with plenty of attitude. Pete Albert is a former psychedelic wanderer who is a guitarist, but the bassist for the Echoes. A bass in Pete's hands becomes a vehicle for adventure. Most recently, The Echoes headlined Geno's December 12, 2008 with guests The Scummymen and Surf Below Zero. The Echoes play powerful rock and roll filled with raw emotion, melodic riffs and dynamic rhythms.

Please feel free to help us copy and paste the STOLEN BASSES flyer into a bulletin, to get the word out that these are hot items and pressure the culprit to turn them over, even if anonymously. Musicians sacrifice a lot as it is, to then have to lose their gear... help us get these back.
