August 2005..following the break up of "Hu:t" and "Traccia Mnestica", Stefano Bonaldo and Marco Baldassa start looking for components to form a new band....
The 2 casually meet at the Rockonte, musical festival in Villa del Conte, Padova, and decide to try starting a band of their own..
September .. the first approach..Stefano brings Riccardo Morandin, an excellent guitarist playing with "As No One" who had in the past worked with him on the "f.i.l.d" project, and Mirco Peron , local bass player who almost immediately leaves the band for personal reasons. The 3 start producing songs and at the same time continue searching for an appropriate substitute..( meantime Stefano gets called up by "Mr Bizarro and the highway experience", who following their success at the Heineken jamming contest in 2005, get noticed on the national and international underground scene by concerts, tv and radiophonic appearances), after extensive research Alberto Chillon enters the scene in January 2006 and becomes an integral part of the project . He..s just come from an experience with "Stoneflowers" and his creativity and ability make him a fundamental part of the band... and so "the brain washing machine" are born, name deriving from the lyrics of "tv, the brain washing machine" composed by the group at the time when a bass player seemed no where to be found... Alberto's arrival strengthens the "stoner-rock" component of the group that mixes grunge, stoner, crossover and hard rock .. the result being an enthralling and fast kind of music, a bit reflexive in certain parts and more aggressive in others. On october 2007 Stefano Bonaldo left the band to follow Mr Bizzarro's project and after a new extensive research Stefano Ceroni enter the scene in september 2008. What else can one say??? Agosto 2005... dopo la scissione di Hu:t e Traccia Mnestica, Stefano e Marco si ritrovano a cercare componenti per formare una nuova band... Casualmente, alla manifestazione musicale Rockonte di Villa del Conte (PD), i due si incontrano e decidono di provare a formare una band tutta loro... A settembre la prima prova... Stefano porta Riccardo, ottimo chitarrista militante negli As No One che aveva già lavorato con lui anche se per un breve periodo nel progetto "f.i.l.d.", e Mirco, un giovane bassista della zona che però lascia quasi subito la band per motivi personali... I tre cominciano comunque a produrre brani e contemporaneamente a cercare un valido sostituto... ( nel frattempo Stefano viene ingaggiato dai Mr Bizarro, che dopo aver vinto l'Heineken Jammin' Contest 2005, si fanno notare nella scena underground nazionale e internazionale con concerti ed apparizioni radiofoniche e televisive ). Dopo estenuanti ricerche nel gennaio 2006 entra a far parte del progetto Alberto, appena uscito dall'esperienza con i Stoneflowers, che si rivela capace e fantasioso diventando subito per la band parte integrante e fondamentale... nascono così i "The Brain Washing Machine", nome che deriva dal testo di "tv, the brain washing machine" composta dal gruppo quando ancora il bassista sembrava introvabile... L'arrivo di Alberto rafforza ancor di più la componente rock - stoner del gruppo che nel complesso mescola influenze grunge, stoner, crossover e hard rock... Ne risulta una musica accattivante e veloce, in alcuni punti un pò più riflessiva e in altri molto aggressiva. Nel febbraio 2007 esce il loro demo “ROCKet on MUSIC” registrato al W.R.P. studio di Devis Costa (ex bassista ACAJOU, ex Dj HU:T). Ad ottobre 2007 Stefano Bonaldo lascia la band per seguire il progetto "Mr Bizarro and the highway experience" e dopo un'altra estenuante ricerca, un nuovo batterista, Stafano Ceroni, entra a far parte della band. che altro dire? ciao imbriagoni,abbastanza bene,ovvero si vivacchia,prossima settimana abbiamo weekend in lombardia,venerdì saremo a calco (lecco) in una birreria,e poi sabato ad osnago (lecco) alla festa di liberazione!!!,per il resto ancora tanto da fare,sbattimento e in cerca di date,è dura ma chi l'ha duro la ..... sfonda !!!! hahahahahahahahahaha!!!
