Donald John MacPhearson (Fiddle and Vocals), Hamish Bush MacGhillieMhoirre (Pipes and Whistles) and Lachlan Neil Macphie (Mandola and Vocals). Also, occasional guests are Angus Og MacSpock (banjo - tenor and hairy), and Ginger Rodgers Asheep (Organ).
Lagavulin, Bowmore, Laphroaig, any whisky with a cork as opposed to a screwtop (the cork tells you if the whisky is good or not, no cork - no good) Vodka and Red Bull, Guinness, Carlsberg. the list go's on. Oh, and better not forget our local home brew, the TALISKER
Sounds Like
Sounds like it's time to go to the pub. The pub is a very important place and is the centre of all civilized civilisations. This is where most of the beer and whisky in every village lives. Contrary to what dogs would have you think, (meeaaww) beer is actually mans' best friend. The Bramax have two main 'locals'. The Cellar Bar in Dunvegas when they session most Thursdays and mingle with other Bramax minded people, and The old Inn in Carbost (next to Talisker whisky distillary, hic) which is owned and run down by Bramax extras Angus Og MacSpock and Spoonacher MacA'Ghuain. If you've never been kissed, in the Isle of the mist, and you would like to get pissed then don't be shy, come up to Skye. David Attennbourourough from the TV wildlife programme did and he discovered another new species of primate, Homofalldownicus.

Of all the bands to come out of the Highlands of Scotland, none are as lovely, occasionaly drunken and course and yet pure as the roadside snow and tuneful as a stag in heat.
The long term goal of the Bramax (pronounced bra - max) is to totally remove the professionalism out of Highland Scottish music and return it to the golden era of lovely fast tunes played well in a lovely styley and songs of a lovely nature composed and sung with a view to pull the mickey our of our friends and not friends.
Bramax is an Englisized version of the gaelic noun meaned a quiet watery fart. This does not mean we are shit of course. Although we may be to people who don't like us or to people whom are the victims of our songs........
Band motto.........we are lovely and nice and don't approve of drinking anything other than ginger beer.
After you've finished here, you may like to hear this folk-carol on myspace... Poem 230 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (see my blog for details): CHRISTMAS SUNG SIMPLY
As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Good luck tonight guys, hope the gig goes well and good to have you back in the suburbs sometime!
And let me plug my own gig tomorrow with Gavin Moore and from the States, Mark Cool, at the Woodend Bowling and Tennis Club, Jordanhill, tickets on the door. A great night of music from two talented artists in store.
Hey hey my beautiful Skye pussies! I hope you are behaving as immaculately as always. I just wondered if you had any gigs around and about the 20th september, and if you did, where? I want to take my sister out for her birthday, although we might come and see you at Saucys before that anyways. And hopefully a sneaky wee Thursday night sometime soon too...I still miss it terribly. Much excitableness and all sorts of other things XXX
