Froe, Gav, Merf and Ben make up the nu-skool breaks collective known as The Breakfastaz. They have had over 20 successful releases and remixes on respected breaks labels such as Passenger, Mob and Against The Grain and have received wide ranging support and heavy rotation from scene stalwarts such as Plump DJs, The Freestylers, Tayo, Ali B, Meat Katie, Aquasky, Krafty Kuts, Deekline and even catching the ear of Zane Lowe. To back up their releases, the guys have been DJing all over the world and have also been invited to do guest shows and interviews on BBC Radio 1 (Annie Mac Mini-Mix & Annie Nightingale), Xfm (Eddie Temple-Morris) and Kiss 100 (Tayo) accompanying their weekly show on Pyrotechnic Radio www.pyrotechnicradio.com.
Their hard work has already been recognised, with the guys being featured on the front cover of IDJ’s ‘Players Of The Year’ alongside the likes of Mylo and The Shapeshifters. They have also won Best Breakthrough Act and been nominated for the Best DJ, Best Remix and Best Compilation at the Breakspoll World Breakbeat Awards.
2007 has been a busy year with the guys remixing Pendulum’s first single of the second album ‘Granite’, supporting them on their national tour and successfully launching their own independent label ‘The Breakfast Club’.
