The Breaking Point is now a trio of Andrew Scheuermann, Luke Berry, and TJ Mitchell in Gainesville at the University of Florida. Our first show is at 1982 on October 11th and we need everyone who can come to be there. We have all new songs, a fresh sound, and more energy than ever. The recordings on this page are the first songs ever written by the original four over two years ago, but they can give you a small idea of what types of songs we write and where we have grown from. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
The Breaking Point formed in November of 2003. Our band came along way in our home town of Merritt Island also branching out into Orlando to play at Backbooth, Central Station, Dukes, The Firestone, and opening for a magic basketball game at the Amway Arena (TD Waterhouse). Alex and Christine, our other two members, are finishing high school, but will always remain a part of the band hopefully returning to play shows every once in a while. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Look for us in Devozine Magazine. The Jan/Feb edition of Devozine Magazine will have an article about the top three groups including The Breaking Point with its original set up of four members. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
RECORDINGS: The first CD and Rockers for Life were a great success and we thank everyone for this. Going through over 200 CDs in little over four months, impressing Illumina Records from Boston with "Life is Like Water" to gaining the number one spot on their compilation CD, being selected top three in the nation by Upper Room Ministries Devozine for our song "In your Footsteps", playing in high level Orlando Clubs with some of the other top Orlando bands (Breaking Tides, Traverser, Vision Quest, Dexios, Mansions of Thought, Takeout, and many others), competing up to the Orlando/Jacksonville finals in the worlds largest battle of the bands. These have been the successes since the release of our CD. A big thankyou to everyone who made this possible: Art Scheuermann, Paul Peters from Audiophile, Jim Lefevre, Jason DeAmoto from Illumina Records, Tom Willett, Sandy Miller from Devozine Magazine, Katie Vazquez, and the countless others.
