Comprised of Biolysis, Scourge and Technician, The Breed steps up to make their collective voice heard. Hailing from Atlanta, Ga. USA, this trio has already begun making a name for themselves. With forthcoming collabs with heavy hitters GEIN and Dementia, alongside their own productions due out on Nerve Agent Recordings, Corinthian Recordings and More TBA, The Breed is locked and loaded and ready to bring the assault. With various musical backgrounds ranging from playing guitar, bass and drums to trumpets, keys and more, these 3 guys have been deep into making music for many years.
The conception of The Breed takes place back in 2006, when Todd Bishop (Scourge) and Jason Confer (Biolysis) came across each other playing records at a mutual friend's. With very similar tastes in music they instantly hit it off and began playing shows together. Only after a few gigs, the two decided that this wasn't enough and ventured into production. Thus the sound of The Breed was born. After about a year of countless dedicated hours in the studio, the guys came across Erik Mehlich (Technician), a graduate from The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Arizona. This was the final piece of the puzzle.
They all bring a different, unique piece to that puzzle, all the while learning from each other to push their sound even more. Becoming well known for their charismatic performances and the electrifying sound they were developing in the studio, The Breed quickly rose to become one of Atlanta's premier Drum & Bass acts. With performances alongside some of the biggest names in d&b such as Teebee, Klute, Hive, Gridlok, C4C, Catacomb, Mayhem, GEIN and more, these 3 guys are no strangers to bringing the heat.
With the forthcoming collabs, remixes and and a heap of their own material, 2009 promises to be a monumental year for The Breed. While maintaining a radio show on DRUMANDBASSTV for Nerve Agent Recordings, (Saturday Nights 9 - Midnight) the three are deep in the studio wrapping up several projects at the moment. Thanks a lot for the add! EletriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal.
