The Brewer Boys grew up listening to country music. The music of Lonestar, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks are just a few of the artists who got them started on country music. However, the country music duo who really influenced their singing is Big & Rich – whose every song they know by heart, harmony and all.
The Brewer Boys are Justin, 14 years old & Nathan, 11 years old, a dynamic duo who loves to sing any song in harmony. Aside from listening and learning “new country” songs, the boys have been learning a lot of the older classic - singing revivals of the Everly Brothers, the Beatles, Crosby Stills & Nash, Eagles. John Denver, and even Journey. Just in the past year, even the music of Alabama and Johnny Cash caught their interest.
Born and raised in Southern California, Justin & Nathan won’t see themselves other than “California Boys in Cowboy Hats.”
Country influence in their lives comes from Dad who grew up living the “cowboy life” at a cattle ranch in Colorado and then Wyoming. Admittedly, everyone agrees that Mom contributed the singing genes as well as the love for music.
Justin started singing and performing at a very young age and spent a couple of years learning stage performing with Gwyn Sanborn (they are currently doing vocal coaching with her, as well). He’s been involved in school performances and talent shows and loves to play the guitar. Together with Nathan, they have been taking voice lessons with Melanie Gonzales for the past 4 years. Nathan has been influenced by his brother’s love for music and has started singing as soon as he can talk. His natural talent for singing harmony was discovered by accident when he wanted to sing something different from a melody of a song – and the rest is history. Like his older brother, Nathan has been a regular performer at school plays and talent shows for the past years. In February 2008, they shared the stage with a live band, The Ranch Rockers, at the TemeculaLive2008 show, a high energy, Opry-style show dedicated to promoting country music in Southern California.
