THE BREWERY (Mc Kennas) HAS BEEN OPERATING AS A VENUE FOR 15 YEARS AND HAS BEEN BLESSED WITH MUSICIANS FROM AMERICA ENGLAND EVERYWHERE BASICALLY THE BEST MOST NOTABLY WOULD BE FROM OUR OWN LAND.THE ACTS INCLUDE BEN REEL, LUCKY DUBE,ALBERT LEE,SHERMAN ROBERTSON,JACK L,JULIET TURNER,REPUBLIC OF LOOSE,THE CORONAS,GREEN LIGHTS,THE FLAWS,SPEEDKING AND IT GOES ON!WE HAVE A WEALTH OF TALENT FROM OUR HOME TOWN OF MONAGHAN WHO REGULARLY ATTEND MONAGHAN BLUES JAM HOSTED BY DES MURPHY ITS THE LAST THURS OF EVERY MONTH BY THE WAY AND ITS A REAL HUMDINGER OF A NIGHT.THE PROPRIETER SEAMUS MC KENNA IS WELL KNOWN FOR HIS LOVE OF MUSIC ESPECIALLY THE BLUES HE IS ONE OF THE FOUNDING MEMBERS OF THE HARVEST TIME BLUES FESTIVAL WHICH RUNS AT THE START OF SEPT EACH YEAR AND HE HAD HIS OWN BLUES PROGRAM ON KISS FM AND THEN NORTHERN SOUND.TOGETHER WITH HIS SON SEAMIE OG HAVE KEPT ORIGINAL MUSIC ALIVE IN MONAGHAN TOWN RESULTING IN GETTING NOMINATED FOR ULSTER VENUE OF THE YEAR BY IMRO.AND HAVE BEEN THE HOST FOR BBC2 SHOW BLAS CEOIL WHICH WAS AIRED ON THE 20TH OF NOV 08 BUT TO KEEP UP THE BREWERY IS STILL COMING UP WITH MORE INNOVATIVE IDEAS WITH THE RECENT INCLUSION OF THE BREW Ha!Ha! COMEDY CLUB THAT HAPPENS EVERY FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH AND WE HAVE RECENTLY BEEN VOTED ULSTER BAR OF THE YEAR 09 IN ASSOCIATION WITH TODAY FM SO THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT AND THE WEATHER IS STILL MISERABLE WELL WE CAN'T HAVE IT ALL!
