PEOPLE COMING TO SHOWS HERE:
For a while, all of our shows are going to be at Jake's Back Room or The Church of the Holy Spoke. Both are great places to be, and both are working really hard to take good care of the bands! Try and come out to support. Your favorite Bright Housians will be there. =) A lot of people work real hard to bring you these shows. Thanks for supporting live music in Lubbock!
BANDS AND PEOPLE BOOKING SHOWS HERE:
We are, for the moment, not booking any new shows in order to facilitate our move/revampishness. As soon as we have our definite opening date, we'll get booking again! Feel free to message us about dates you're interested in, or just to say hi!!
REFER A BAND AND GET IN FREE!
This one goes to everybody. If you would like to see a band at the Bright House, message us about them. If we book them, and you were the first person to tell us about them, you get into the show for FREE!

The boys from Yele would, however, like you to know about a show at their place:
We have the Attack, Daniel Folmer(from denton),us(Yele), and Mavrik playing. We are going to be releasing our 5song EP "Potential" and it would be awesome to see you guys there.
Who I'd like to meet: People who want to be involved!
Lubbock is an amazing place to be, especially for people who love music. We want more people to know that. Want a reason to love this town? Need more music in your life? There are plenty of ways to get involved, and here are a few - courtesy of The Bright House:
1. Go to shows! And I'm not just talking about shows at the Bright House. There's so much music in this town. Don't miss a chance to discover something new and incredible before the rest of the world does.
If you like live music in Lubbock, or if you are looking for a show on a particular night, or if you just want to see what all is out there, check out South Plains Yankee. It's the most comprehensive list of upcoming shows in Lubbock I've ever been fortunate enough to stumble upon.
2. Make music! YOU WANT TO PLAY HERE? Great! Send us a message right here on myspace and we'll work everything out. OR, if you hate the internets, you can call us on the telephone using the number below. Emails are cool too.
Here are some things you might want to know about playing here:
1. We prefer not to charge people a whole lot of money. There are a few exceptions (touring bands, special events).
2. No more than 4 bands/artists on one night.
3. We'll promote your show as much as we can, but if at all possible (especially if you're local!) it helps if you're willing to get out there and do some of the legwork.
***We are not currently booking***
If you're interested in booking a show here, please either message us on Myspace or contact us at one of the following:
Email: brighthouseshows@gmail.com
Phone: (806) 543-1816
Phone: (806) 773-4249
3. Keep listening! It's not hard. What music comes down to, regardless of shows or bands or anything else, is what that music means to you. Lots of people miss out on this just because they don't immerse themselves in music. Whether it's an album you know by heart or a band you've never heard of, nothing can get you more involved in music than making music part of your life. Listen to the radio, and call up the DJ just to tell him what you thought of a song. Make mix cd's for other people, and give other people's favorite bands a chance.

Thank you so, so much for two extremely memorable shows, even more thanks for all the hospitality you showed to me when I was in town, even more thanks for being outstanding and kind individuals.
To show my appreciation, I wrote a song this past summer. You can download it for free here....
Seeing your message tonight made my heart heavy. To know that I will never get to perform at your fine home again brings up some emotions that aren't typical when I think of the Bright House. I'm trying to think of all the good you've created as opposed to focusing on how terrible this is. You will be severely, severely missed!
