About me:

Welcome to the Bristol Festival myspace, a brand new festival being organised for 2008 by volunteers who feel it's what the community needs, especially in light of the unfortunate demise of the Bristol Community Festival (Ashton Court). Built from the ground up, Bristol Festival aims to involve YOU, the general public at every opportunity to ensure the people of Bristol and the South West get the community festival celebrating the region's music, performing arts and local culture that they want.

Wild West Burlesque	May 23 2008 7:28 AM Wild West Burlesque PROUDLY PRESENT The Tiki Lounge At The Warehouse 57 Prince Street Bristol BS1 4QH Dear WWB Members, Calling all islanders, whitch doctors, explorers, missionaries, angry cannibals, head hunters, hula-hula girls, surf chasers, cocktail lovers and lounge lizards. We are ending our season at the Warehouse club as we began it with the big stars of burlesque, Presented by London’s one and only Red Princes of burlesque, the acid tongued and superbly witty Miss Ivy Paige. Staring Canada’s number one burlesque star, the mischievous and highly unpredictable Trixie Malicious with her brilliant, hilarious, brand new Tiki show. We have decorated the club especially in her honour and turned it into a Tiki Lounge. Trixie has brought along her own volcano which promises to bring the show to an explosive climax! With exciting new performances from the fabulous Venus Noir and the outrageous Mitzy Bear plus an all new cast from the winners of the West Country’s newcomers show. The Fabulously Freaky appears as Baron Semedi and will perform a gruesome magic show. Nero Bonaparte will bring a touch of swing to the event with lounge core and easy listening classics followed by the Butter Side Up DJ’s who will rip up the party until closing with floor stomping funk. We hope to see you all at this evening of high excitement, wicked cabaret and unbridled glamour not to be missed, our best to date! We're doing a headline set featuring Visual Projections from VJ James Bragg and everyone gets a FREE copy of our new 'Sick of Me' EP on the door. Venue Magazine described it as '...an extraordinary sound...a sort of power pop/goth/rock opera hybrid...the most exhilarating thing we've heard all week'.
