Primarily among many aims and ambitions of ‘The Broken Jukebox’ is to provide exceptionally talented and original Bands and Artists a night to shine and showcase their music to an appreciative audience (muso’s, inquisitive debutant's, Industry figures and artistic pretensions all under one roof).
The Broken Jukebox’s goal is to showcase some of the finest talent around, whether their output is trailblazing the vanguard of Noise or even Flirting with Mainstream-Pop, the full spectrum and amalgam of music tastes and genres shall be explored with no regard paid to musical or tribal conformity. It should prove to be a strange but potent brew, melding the most eclectic and exciting music with visual arts.
It shall be trawling the Net, using every Resource at our disposal, Scouting every Venue, Sounding the Grapevine, keeping our Ear’s to the Ground and leaving No Stone Unturned in a our search for the best and most original talent from around Scotland and even further a field.
If you’re an Artist, DJ or Band who would like to put your hat in the ring to be considered for Playing with ‘The Broken Jukebox’, then feel free to send us a message, comment or e-mail, samples of your music are advantages. Visual Artist and filmmakers who are interested in showcase their work in conjunction with our featured artist's will also be needed to add a similar visual aesthetic and flare to the event.
The Broken Jukebox shall also be uploading related Media in the form of interviews with Bands/Artist's, Live Music, Sessions, Photo’s and Sound-bytes in the run up to the big event and indeed following every showcase gig
