The Broken White Record is a delicious cup of psychadelic funk rock. It was birthed from an earlier acoustic project involving the guitarist Zack and bassist Kevin. The small coffee shop duet of the "Hour Before" soon found that its true calling was in the multi-genre style of funk, indie, and any and everything else. The two met up with a pair of cats outta Burlington to form the Broken White Record and bring their Funk into the eardrums of the world. The band consists of Rafe Bouchard on drums, Logan Bouchard on 6-string Bass and back-up vocals, Kevin Barry on a 4-string Bass, and Zack Chilcote on Guitar and also on Vocals.
The band began as a triple-bass project and soon it was decided that Zack would move to guitar and eventually lyrics were added. Things went on and eventually after many sleepless nights of empty-minded writing, the band played a benefit show for the devastation of New Orleans and a local high school in Moss Point with, Mississippi raising over $2500 atop Higherground’s mainstage.
After a brief hiatus over the summer, The Broken White Record has been busy at work writing all new material and playing shows around the Burlington area.
