Okay....Melinda had been making songs on her old 4 track tape machine...and then she went and did this Myspace thing... she was offered some gigs that she couldn't refuse which meant she had to decide how to perform songs in a non-karaoke way!... She roped in Eileen on Bass and Satti on Drums... and they played...! Now She's done some proper recording with Ash and is looking forward to playing Craft Night and Truck Festival with Eileen on Bass and Ash playing the toys!...
oh and she made this video... it's for the song ...

Mama Shamone http://www. myspace. com/mamashamone “Put Mama Shamone on at any venue and they are likely to take the roof off, this was one of the best live shows I’ve seen in years - certainly one of the best in London. In my opinion these guys are destined for greatness, it felt like I was witnessing history being shaped-something was just so right about what they were doing up there.” Vibe Bar
We Yes You No www. myspace. com/weyesyouno “We Yes You No sing about the end of the world, the end of everything. But in an apocalypse that would sound like this I would buy god’s last EP” – Big City Redneck
Language http://www. myspace. com/languageuk “"The verbosity of funk, the poetic twang of intelligent pop. The bridge between Franz Ferdinand and Smashing Pumpkins perhaps" – Bugbear
:) Not that I'd ever dream of shouting at you normally, but seeing as how you can't punch me over the internet I felt somewhat emboldened and flung caution to the wind with such vim and vigor that I thought to myself, "What the hell, lets shout at Mel". It gets kinda boring here sometimes...
Smoke Feathers have been invited to play at the INDY Music Awards media launch and short list announcement party on Wednesday April 2nd 7pm at the Rock Garden, Covent Garden, London.
It’s no guarantee that we have been shortlisted for the final, but we hope it is a good sign....
THIS FRIDAY 14th March at THE HALF MOON, HERNE HILL, London SE24
Glam Chops - The Glam Rock revival starts here. ART BRUT front man Eddie Argos has formed what he describes as an ‘orthodox glam rock outfit’, an indie supergroup with David Devant, Stuffy (Graham Coxons drummer) and others (including our own Paul Guided Missile), with glittery suits, platform shoes, make up.. and all the necessary synchronized stage stomping. Live they appear with Bath’s sensational dance troupe The Panther Girls, dancing and joining in on the parts where everyone shouts out “Hey!”
Walker - South of the North come Walker, Doncaster to be precise. Impossible to talk about this band without mentioning their vast musical heritage: Past members of The Wedding Present, Beachbuggy & Future ex-Wife they pull together a noise where Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jnr. and Husker Du spring to mind but for some reason Mark Almonds camper slacker brother seems to be on vocals.
The Strategy - Garagey noise from this up and coming 4 piece from London & South Bucks. Fast paced tunes that recall the original Adam & The Antz & Buzzcocks mixed with cheeky lyrical and vocal stylings akin to The Hives.
