Based in Jamestown, Ohio, does more than play a few dance tunes. They are a true entertainment group. Drawing from the fun of old-time Vaudeville acts as well as original comedy routines and music, the group provides a complete entertainment experience.

The group began in 1995 with Gary Sutton, William Sutton, Gary Deer, Jr., Gery Deer, and Jess Young. At that time the Sutton and Deer brothers gave rise to a name for the group... 'The Brothers.' In the fall season of 1996, they added two more family members, Gery's former wife, Layla joined to become one of the band's main singers and string players. Also joining was Ed Jones, nephew to the Sutton brothers, and a cousin to the Deer boys. Dan Williamson joined as a lead guitar player shortly thereafter and the group realized they needed an upgrade to their name. They became ... THE BROTHERS & COMPANY (the "company" was later shortened to, Co.). There are dozens of garage bands out there - this is NOT one of them.
Being a family has given the group an upper hand. Even the hardware work is kept in the family. Gary Deer, Sr., father of Gary, Jr. and Gery Deer, is the group's sound operator, and countless other family members help to support the group. The band has played every Saturday evening since 1995 at Freedom Farm - the family homestead.
