"The b Sharps" are a band formed by the drummer Joshua Bryan Hatfield, Robert Lenfestey, and Bassist Jimmy Rodriguez in the summer of 2003. Joshua and Jimmy had been playing in previous bands and already had experience under their belts, while guitarist Robert had little or no skill, having only been playing guitar for a month before the first session. The search was on for a guitarist! Jimmy and Josh felt sorry for Robert cause he had nothing to do during the summer, so they asked him to jam with the the kool cats figuring he wouldn't return to do it again in the future; a one time kinda deal. Jimmy and Josh did not believe Robert to be good enough to be in the band or in any band until the fate filled day when he introduced his own song. Then Josh talked to Jim and decided to keep him in. Since then they have always had a great connection. Originally however, the band was never really considered anything more then a few friends who set up in someone's garage to hammer out some random power chords for six minutes without hope of vocals in the near future, until the point when "My Greasy Burrito From Tio's" was written as a hated rhythm, and the rest is meaningless....and stupid...but mostley meaningless...
