New York City-based anti-folk supergroup the Bundles formed in 2001 around the talents of quirky punk princess Kimya Dawson (Moldy Peaches) and underground comic artist/anti-folk hero Jeffrey Lewis.
Dawson and Lewis, along with longtime collaborators Jack Lewis (bass) and Anders Griffen (drums), began piecing together songs in 2001, getting together sporadically in between tours before releasing their full-length debut eight years later. A heady blend of rhymes, quips, comedy, and wry social commentary, the band’s eponymous debut arrived in March 2009 on K Records. ~ James Christopher Monger
