Well, let's see....Van Halen (The DLR Version) is my ultimate favorite band.
Then you've got AC/DC, Metallica, Michael Jackson, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, The Darkness, The Donnas, Avenged Sevenfold, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Danzig, Kiss, The Ramones, the original Guns 'n' Roses lineup, The Rolling Stones......
Movies
Hands down, my favorite movie of all time has to be "The 'Burbs" starring Tom Hanks. It came out in 1989, and it wasn't a big hit. But there's something about the movie I can't exactly put my finger on; but it gets funnier everytime you watch it. And If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it for a lazy afternoon.
Okay, here's a few more that I like (but not all of 'em): Gremlins, Jaws, The Goonies,A Nightmare on Elm Street parts 1,3, and Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Friday The 13th parts 1,6,7, and for both franchises Freddy Vs. Jason; (I've seen all the Friday The 13th films and all of the Nightmares, but those are my favorites)GHOSTBUSTERS!!! (1 and 2), The Evil Dead Trilogy (all the movies are great, but Army Of Darkness is ROCKS!!), Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, This Is Spinal Tap, Jurassic Park, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein,Spaceballs (Mel Brooks rules), The Back To The Furture trilogy, The Empire Strikes Back (yes, I know it's part of a trilogy, but it's the best one), Mallrats, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Detroit Rock City....
The Simpsons (their older stuff is funnier), Married...with children,
King of The Hill, Futurama,The Boondocks(one of the best shows on TV right now) Family Guy, Chappelle's Show (without a doubt), That 70's Show, The Andy Griffith Show, The Drew Carey Show and any strange variety show (i.e: I Love The 80's)
Books
Not many, though I have been a fervent reader my whole life. I like Stephen King,HUNTER S. THOMPSON!!, Michael Crichton, Lewis Grizzard, and Mick Foley...
My dad, first of all. Because he taught me many things, and if it weren't for him, I would have gotten my ass kicked on a daily basis back in high
school. He among many other things, taught me to stand up for myself.
Next, Eddie Van Halen. Not just we're both guitar players, but because he brought fun back into playing rock guitar. He battled and won against cancer, beat his alcohol dependency, and has consistently been a nice guy his whole
life. Success hasn't changed him from the guy he was twenty-five years ago.
Last but not least, Mick Foley. He is living proof that if you work hard enough and you want it bad enough, you can make your dreams a reality. Nobody gave him what he has today. He knew what he wanted, he went after it, and he got it.
