Started as an acoustic coffeehouse band in August 2006, The Burning State has evolved into one of the most rocking bands in central Pennsylvania winning audiences over with tight rhythms, guitar riffs that stay with you for days, and emotive vocals that leave you wanting more. Playing primarily original material the band is inspired by a variety of sources evidenced in their diverse cover selections featuring a mixture of artists such as the Foo Fighters, Louis Armstrong, Survivor, and Outkast.
In 2008 the band debuted their first full-length album, From Out of the Ashes, which was met with much excitement. Now receiving local radio airplay and with shows lining up, The Burning State is seeking to expand their audience.
