About me:
The Bury Fringe Festival takes place in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, England, and aims to bring as diverse and creative a programme of artistic events together as possible, focusing on local and homegrown talents and community projects, as well as welcoming acts from the UK and beyond. The inaugural festival was held in May 2006 and was followed in 2007 by a festival which saw around fifty varied and hugely entertaining events held over the course of ten days. These included comedy, drama, live music, pyschomagic, musical theatre and a host of other entertainments. The Bury Fringe Festival is a non-profit making organisation and relies on grant and charitable funding.

Who I'd like to meet:
We are now planning the programme for the Bury Fringe Festival 2008 and are inviting applications from all performers, venues and promoters who would like to be involved. We are also keen to meet with anyone interested in being involved 'behind the scenes', and anyone who fancies sponsoring an event or two... There is no age limit as to who can take part in the festival and we are keen to provide a programme which appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds. We hope to involve the local schools and college, and will consider all (feasible) ideas and projects suggested to us. If you are interested in becoming involved with the Bury Fringe Festival 2008 in any way, please get in touch!
