Influences
"Hey man. If I don't have an influence. I can't scratch my butt.
I'll tell ya that two times over and call yer sister tonight.
Then we'll see who was under any sort of influence.
Why. Who's asking."
Sounds Like
It sounds like we're all farting in tin cans. Except when this happens it's not funny. It's just extremely artsy and then all the kids get to buggin' out. And when we're not making sound it sounds like...horses...wild horse pickle shit. I don't have a clue where any of this is going anyway, man.
The Butcher’s Boy originates in Chicago. They formed in the summer of 2006. Since then they have been playing throughout the Midwest and east coast. With influences ranging from Johnny Cash to Graham Parsons, Alkaline Trio and Modest Mouse, front man, Jeremy Miller has put together an eclectic range of noise that can only be described as Hell-Fire and Honky-tonk!
Jeremy and lead guitarist, JJ Evans both hail from northern Indiana and have perfected a style unique to their ten-year relationship. Jeremy holds the stomping rhythm of the guitar while bellowing vocal melodies and JJ carries a lead guitar that rings as true as sin. The interaction between these two is seemingly effortless.
Holding the hard hitting, driving beat of the Butcher’s Boy is Ian Tsan on drums. His career as a drummer started at the tender age of three and hasn’t slowed down since then. Twenty some odd years later, this experience has produced an earsplitting beat that can knock the walls down and make your ears bleed!
The fourth member of the band is none other than Chicago resident Kevin Becker. He walks up and down the neck of the upright bass like he’s caressing the neck of a beautiful woman.
Needless to say, with all this talent bottled up in what is the Butcher’s Boy, you can expect nothing but a rocking, hard hitting sound that will make you move.
Aw, Thanks, we will wear that award proudly. Let's collaborate again. Perhaps with our guitarist next time thus going above and beyond the loudest band of the year requirements.
Aw, yes, of course! I remember you and Joe, things are going wonderfully...we should play some music together sometime...glad you found me, all the best! -Steph

We've got our second CD (Goldmine Pickers - Lonesome Gone) coming out on November 10th and it's tight! tight! tight!!! To launch the CD we will be performing as part of the LVD's Concert Series at the Old Bag Factory in Goshen. For information about the show and the concert hall, check them out on the web at (wwwdotlvdsdotinfo) or call 574 825 7785 for reservations. Music starts at 7pm and tickets are $15.00.
After the concert, we are all headed down to the Constant Spring for a bit of an afterparty. My good buddy Jeremy Miller's band, The Butcher's Boy, previously known as The Crying Shame, will be rockin' from 10pm til late into the night! Hope to see everyone out for a great time and some great music.
Hey! Big fan. I like your music pretty good, but really, I'm HUGE! Like BIIG fan. I've been eating a lot of pizza. Protein pizza, but then I don't work out. Then I eat weight gainer sometimes, thinking I might work out later, but I don't. I just watch the tube. I don't have a television, I ate it. I have a large PVC pipe, really. I put a curtain on it. Long story short, I like what you do, kid.
