Winner of the 1998 Tony® Award for Best Play, Art promises an evening of sharp banter and engaging storytelling sure to have audiences talking long after they leave Rose Marine’s northside theatre. Serge, Marc and Yvan have been friends for 15 years, but the $200,000 purchase of a white canvas may bring that comraderie to an end. The all-but-blank canvas becomes the centerpiece of a funny and compelling discussion of how we define ourselves and others. It is the bridge between these emotionally dry characters, the portal from which all their struggles, similarities, and dynamics stem from.
This charged comedy cuts open the human psyche and explores, without excuses, the complexities of the mind and friendship. It’s an evening that will have you laughing for days, and thinking for months.
Art plays at Rose Marine Theatre from July 18-27th located at 1440 N. Main Street in Fort Worth
Show times are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:30pm
Art shows at the Dallas Hub Theatre from July 31st-August 3rd located at 2809 Canton St., Dallas
