Northern Ontario 1999, a little punk rock band called Kaka Mountain is formed, three superd young swamp dwellers rock the living fuck out the general populus, so much so that women were commiting suicide at the simple sound of the music, knowing they could not be pleasured sexually to that point any longer. The three rocked out tunes new and old to the delight of many, but it was not to be, careers and geographical differences as well as alchohol ended one of the most beautiful displays of pleasure known to the North.
The year was 2002, Jozeph's dad was formed similarly to Kaka Mountain without the original bass player, enter the current lead singer and guitar player of the coffins. The three rocked until rocking was no longer an option, they needed more, and again mostly due to alchohol and geography the three parted ways for what was thought to be a permanent hiatus.
The three kept in close contact and dabbled in the thought of doing something they remember as calling "...North.... and Rock?". Naturally with their punk rock backrounds the three starting writing and playing again but in a different and slightly more arousing fashion, playing their gritty, skunky, raw, shitty bar type sound but mixing it with influences they developed as children skunk-a-billy was born.
The three living in a giant overated piece of shit with smoke stacks sticking out of it, known to many as the 7th circle of hell and to others as... well... Sudbury. They began slowly recording and jamming working around their other projects the three began as tight knit as back in the ole' days and began getting serious and by serious they were becoming drunk... but loved.
Their influences including the autistically beautiful large breasted cousins in the north, as well as the good ole days of drinking and driving heavy equipment and the rock and roll, punk rock and rockabilly of their childhoods. Not knowing how to read or speak english well enough, they had no choice but to call it skunk-a-billy. So give them a break and lend them a listen', the north will grip your ear drums so tightly that you will orgasm twice, and likely never feel such pleasure again.
They are currently recording and writing (with the help of a special education assistant) and planning many many shows. So stay tuned stay in touch, remove your slacks spread your gennies and enjoy!!!
