"Partyers took to the tabletops, dancing and singing along to a set of songs that felt familiar to the soul. You should have been there." -The San Francisco Chronicle
"They have baby faces, but play like old souls...Lech plays that horn like Louis Armstrong. And I wouldn’t throw that around lightly." -Folk music legend Maria Muldaur
The California Honeydrops are the Bay Area’s newest and most authentic Roots and Blues ensemble. Influenced by artists such as Robert Johnson, Professor Longhair, and the Soul Stirrers, this group of young musicians breathes new life and inspiration into the nearly forgotten music of the American South. Combining the styles of ragtime, blues, gospel and soul all in an acoustic jug band format--one thing is certain: there is no other band like the California Honeydrops.
Having accompanied artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Alvon Johnson, Dan Hicks, Jackie Payne, Del Ray, Donald Byrd, Mike Seeger, Ramblin Jack Elliot, and Maria Muldaur, band leader Lech Wierzynski has learned the tricks of the trade from some of the biggest names in American music. Joined by an all star band of virtuosic multi-instrumentalists, The California Honeydrops deliver a stage show of dazzling musicianship, soulful vocal harmonies, and an infectious groove that never fails to bring the audience to its feet.
The California Honeydrops have packed the house at venues including the Great American Music Hall, and Berkeley’s Ashkenaz. All members of the band have toured extensively around the United States and around the world.

Lovely blues!! Thank you for the friendship! Once there was a band called "The Honeydrippers", if I'm not mistaking - Are they familiar? Have a beautiful week, my friends - and keep the blues alive!! Hugs from Sweden/Zelma
Lech, you're a really great singer. So many bands make the mistake of using mediocre singers, or seeming to have the attitude that the singing is the least important part of the music. You are a great singer, though! Not at all phony or affected, on-pitch, soulful. I was impressed the first time I heard you, in Craig's room, and I'm impressed now, listening to your My Space.
