Jason Callahan started the Callahan Band in Summer of 2004 as a solo act. Shortly their after a friend introduced him to Kenton Ashcraft. They began gigging around Wichita playing open jams and small clubs. After about a year and a half Jason decided to look around for a bass player. A few phones calls later Jason Cunningham and Dave Fortune joined the band. Since becoming a four piece the Callahan Band has played pretty constantly around Wichita and the surrounding suburbs. Venues include John's Bar in Newton, 5th Street Pub in Herington, Donnie G's in Dodge City, and countless other clubs and honky tonks around Kansas.
