Like the eponymous Warhol Superstar, The Candy Darlings is Art transmuting into Life, and Life transmuting into Art- both visual and aural. We are inspired by those who have translated Beauty into Sound, and take our cues from the diverse genius of Serge Gainsbourg, Debussy, Ennio Morricone, Jason Spaceman, and Lou Reed, among others. Louder than the Luftwaffe (but with more treble), we are still able to maintain an elegance to rival Botticelli. In short we have created the delicate and inimitable balance of the crass and the sacred. We are The Candy Darlings.
