Thank you very much for visiting The Capstone Quartet's MySpace page. We are headquartered near Tuscaloosa, AL, and we welcome this opportunity to introduce you to our ministry or perhaps welcome you back for a return visit. Whether you've known us since we began in 1992 or are just meeting us for the first time, we'd welcome the chance to get to know you better by making an appearance at your place of worship or having you join us in a concert soon. Those interested in our ministry will often ask what it would take for us to come to their church. The answer is always, "just ask". In our fifteen years of existence, we're proud to have never required a guaranteed amount to sing in any church - that holds true from Florida to New York to Texas, and God has always met our needs. So, if you'd like to have us come to your church for a concert, homecoming, revival, youth rally, festival or other event, contact us !
The Capstone Quartet has performed in an array of venues across the nation ranging from churches and auditoriums to town festivals and massive coliseums. Having received nation-wide radio airplay and been blessed with charting success on The Singing News Top 80 and U.S. Gospel News charts, their sound is not new to the gospel music industry. Their latest release "Living In The Land of Promise" comes from the quartet's project entitled "Carry The Gospel" and was released through Lamp Music's Mountain Top Label in 2007. Among its many accomplishments, the quartet was most recently surprised and honored when the late Alabama State Representative Allen Layson appeared at a concert to present each member of the group with honorary plaques from the State House of Representatives, who recently adopted Resolution HR490, which extended highest commendations to The Capstone Quartet "upon its outstanding accomplishments and utmost desire to bring glory to God". The resolution was sponsored by Representative Layson, and it stated in part; "Whereas, based out of Gordo, Alabama, and whereas, continually striving to uplift our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ all across the nation, The Capstone Quartet has earned the admiration and respect of all those who know them and have been blessed by their music; now therefore be it resolved by the House of Representatives of The Legislature of Alabama, that The Capstone Quartet is recognized and honored for its outstanding accomplishments and utmost desire to bring glory to God".
"WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS" IS A HYMN I USED TO SING WITH MY MOTHER WHEN I WAS AROUND 10-12 YEARS OLD. HERE IS MY ATTEMPT AT SINGING IT WITHOUT MY MOTHER, WHO PASSED AWAY IN 1999, AND I DEDICATE THE SONG TO HER MEMORY:

ALAINA: "About 3 years ago some kittens were born under our house where we used to live. The mama cat got run over by a car and my Dad and me tried to take care of the kittens. They were too young to be without their mother. We weren't allowed to have pets in that place so we tried to take care of them outside until they started running around. The only one I could catch was the black and white one and I brought her inside and asked Dad if we could keep her. I don't know what happened to the others. We "hid" her in the bathroom so the landlord wouldn't find out, but that didn't last long! We gave her mashed potatoes and milk and I named her Taters. She grew up to be a very beautiful cat, and on January 17, 2008, she had 4 kittens -- Eenie, Meenie, Mienie and Moe. We kept Eenie, the Calico, and I renamed her Princess. And we kept the black cat and named him Moe. We have a website called "Taters the Kat" which is all about the history of this cat family beginning with Taters that we took in several years ago. Here is the url for it: http://lnk.ms/10Nvd

Thanks for making the Roy Moore 2010 governor unofficial, your friend. Spread the news that we need (moore)friends for Judge Moore. I don't think you will find a more honest man, we need more men like him in office. Feel free to contact me with any ideas that will help get him elected.
