Sounds Like
Django Reinhardt, Bob Dylan, and Miles Davis formed a garage band sometime in the late 1920s. They played lots of disco music, but got tired of all the lights. The music changed. It got better. Or maybe just different.
The Carrier Pigeons create a music that is a unique blend of styles and instrumentation; as so many things from Portland seem to be.
We have been accused of sounding like The Squirrel Nut Zippers, The Decemberists, and R.E.M. ...whether these accusations are true or not, would be best left to your ears. What do you hear?
We're currently making an attempt at recording a full length album; a long and circuitous journey, which we hope to reach the end of sooner than later.
Stay tuned, keep listening, and we shall see you all again very soon.

actually it was quite embarrassing, or mortifying, maybe even ignominious. I could not discern one sound or note from another on stage, so it was hard to pledge myself to any direction. and I guess I just don't have the metal, goth edge thing going on. oh well, It was good to see you! if you come to xfest you should play something with us.
