The Carter Administration are an independent rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. The band was formed by Todd Anderson in the fall of 1998. The Carters were three dudes, then two dudes for a little while, and have been three dudes for the past five years or so. In the past couple of months, we have become four dudes! We have put out a bunch of records and played a bunch of shows, and we plan on continuing to do both of those things until we don't want to do either anymore. We don't tour because we have jobs, and because we don't want to tour. We are into the business of music, but we are not into the "music business." Musically, our frame of reference starts before Y2K, but in general, we believe most of the best music was made before 1990. Mainly, we like good songs. We all play in other bands in Nashville, and most of them can be found below. You can get a good idea of what we're about from the songs posted above, and from the videos posted to the left. Awesome. I can't wait to here the next record. We are doing well. Someday when I can be more disciplined, and maybe find a place in this city where I can turn an amp up loud enough to record it I will make this extreme metal record.
