BIOGRAPHY
D-Major/The Apologist is from the south side of Chicago. He comes from a background in rap music, performing with the rap group "Black Out" before converting to Christianity.
In his senior year in high school, D-Major became a devout Baptist having learned the Christian faith. However, after much intensive study, D-Major converted to the Catholic Church in 1994.
After high school, D-Major spent a year in college and then gave his life to God as a missionary. He began to do missionary work in Mexico and there saw the need to bring his faith into rap.
D-Major began making his first rap album under the name "the Apologist." After many donations and a tremendous amount of prayer, the Apologist completed his first debut EP, "Sign of the Times" which has been in demand in Poland (where he has toured), Rome, Nigeria, Mexico, Ukraine and Canada and around the United States. The unique thing about this album was the Apologist's fusion of classical music with hip hop to create a new sound.
The Apologist then took a hiatus from rap again for 5 years while working as a missionary overseas in Spain and England.
As of August 2007, the Apologist changed his name officially to D-Major, starting a new era in his ministry as he returns to school to finish his multimedia degree and follows a new direction from God in life as he ends his 12 year missionary work program.
D-Major focuses on doing hip hop that is uplifting and fun while staying true to the faith that he loves.
CONCERTS/ PROMOTION/ TALKS
D- Major has given talks on his testimony of conversion to the Catholic Church to thousands around the world and has sold hundreds of copies of his testimony on cassette tape and CD. He is bilingual and is available to give his testimony and do concerts for those who request in the United States.
