I'm an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church. It is part of my pursuit to become a celebrant, which I want to do in order to perform life remembrance ceremonies--an alternative to the traditional funeral.

About me: I am queen of many projects. I always have something(s) going on. For instance, I'm working the second book in the "Life in Parts" series. And Epitaphs Magazine #8 (due out this fall). I also have an idea for another completely different book, but that's on the backburner. Things to do, my friends! Everything in its due time.
I'm working on my new book: ""Ghost Walk: True Stories of Cemeteries and the Ghosts and People Who Haunt Them."
If you have had any personal experiences with the paranormal in a cemetery, I want to hear from you. It doesn't matter if you are a professional or amateur ghost hunter or investigator, or if you are just an average person who has had an extraordinary experience, I want to hear from you!
My book is about people who "haunt" ghosts. There are so many books about hauntings out there (which I very much enjoy), but I want to know about the people who seek out what's beyond our normal perception--paranormal investigators, psychics, mediums, Spiritualists, etc. I believe in ghosts, so I'm not coming from a debunking camp. There is so much in our world that defies explanation; who are we to say there is nothing beyond what we know? Do you have an opinion about the paranormal? I'd love to hear it.
If you have experiences you'd like to share, e-mail me "Haunted Experience" in the subject line at: minda.epitaphsmag@gmail.com
I'm the author of the book "Cemetery Walk" (check it out at Amazon.com, etc.) and the founder/editor of Epitaphs Magazine. I'm also the web undertaker of www.TheCemeteryClub.com.
I'm also a mom. It rocks! My daughter is 10 months old and is the best person in the world. Other than that, I'm married to the awesome Bill Douglas. You probably know him. Everybody knows him. If you don't know him, go to www.DrawMeBill.com
I taught two gravestone rubbing classes in July at Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Here are some photos from the first class.
Gravestone rubbing samples
I was recently experimenting with my wax rubbing cakes, and here are the results. For some reason the colors look muted in this slide show, but they really aren't. Weird.
I have all of these colors available in my gravestone rubbing wax cakes (plus many more). I thought these would look cool on a black medium. And they do!

May Peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing all year through!
I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. ~Charles Dickens www.cemeteryprints.com
Ahh, a glorious weekend in Boston last week brought me to two great
cemeteries - King's Chapel Cemetery and the Granary Cemetery - both
downtown. It rained most of the weekend but when you like to
photograph in cemeteries, that is a good thing, because it drives away
most of the people visiting. The Granary is amazing! Paul Revere, John
Adams, John Hancock, and Mother (Mary) Goose are buried there. There
are monuments that were erected in the mid to late 1600s that are in
beautiful condition. It is downtown, right next to the Boston Commons.
If you get there, you must visit.

I entered a contest to create and design an Iphone app that Apple would
disapprove. I didn't win. I thought it fit in well with my book "Ghosts

Hi, A few of you know that I just returned from my trip to
France and got to see the Pere Lachaise cemetery, one of the earliest garden
cemeteries in the world. I took so many photos, so here are a few more that I
make available to my friends. Hope you enjoy them.
