The band. as a whole, has an extremely diverse taste in music. We do, however, share common musical influences that have inspired us to play the way we do. Las Vegas is known for many things. The lights never dim. The city never "sleeps". As far are many Americans are concerned, it is truly the Entertainment capital of the world. On the same note, however, Las Vegas falls short in the local music department. Primarily comprised of unoriginal metal bands, wannabe punk bands, and groups trying to emulate the sound and success of The Killers and Panic! At The Disco, the local music scene has little to offer in the way of unique, promising bands these days. As long as The Central Powers remain a group, they will never fall down to the level of copying others in search of success. The number one goal of this band is to stay true to themselves no matter what lies ahead.
The Central Powers is a rock band from the northern area of Las Vegas, NV. Formally 7th Place, Khari began the band way back in 2006 with home-produced songs he had done himself. After taking a break from 7th Place for a year, Khari got together with Zach and Kyle, whom are old friends. They soon discovered that the sound they had pushed together was packed with passion, energy, melody, and force to such an extent that it even surprised the band. Shortly after this, Derek Tinker joined the group to complete the sound. The result was a union of high enery rock music, essential lyrics, cold-cut wit, and a dash of dynamic just in case. There hasn't been, nor will there ever be any gimmicks, costumes, or novelties; Just music in it's most essential form
Starting only in January of 2009, The Central Powers are a group of friends, musicians, and artists who have never wanted anything more than to have a great band to call their own. Money and fame can never match the empowering happiness that comes from writing songs that project the mind into a medium for all to enjoy. That being said, the group will stop at nothing to be heard around the world, ultimately. Nothing can ever stand up to that sort of dream. And it's for this reason that The Central Powers will always try keep moving forward. After all, if it weren't for this band, then life wouldn't be so wondeful
