Three years ago, three longtime friends, Andras Caron, DJ Flexican and Sef, combined their producing and Deejaying talents into, what now has become, The Century. They decided to create something that is completely theirs and has no rules or strict sound. The Century is best described as an incredible, electronic tutti frutti of House, Hiphop, Pop and everything in between.
In 2006 Andras Caron (owner of the GirlsLoveDJs concept and parties) pitched DJ Flexican (who was on the verge of becoming the greatest, eclectic DJ in the Netherlands) the idea of an electronic band. After their first studio session they felt something was missing: a third member . With wunderkind and visionary Yousef Gnaoui a.k.a Sef: joining the band The Century was complete and ready to rock! In the past years they’ve been molding their visions into music and created a new kind of eclectic sound.
In 2009 they started their own label, One Hundred Years, which gave them the opportunity to release any kind of music they like. The first releases by The Century are 2 EPs: Blackbody Spectrum and Acid Party - 10 tracks in total. You can expect some more party bangers later this year and there is an album with live electronic and sample based evergreens upcoming.
Expect a new era with The Century taking on any kind of adventure. A new extraordinary band is about to take over!

Saturday Febuary 14th, TAFKAF is very proud to present one of the hottest house/electro labels for 2009 in the Flex Bar. Since the summer of 2008, Helsinki-based New Judas has been kicking up huge amounts of dust with artists like HUORATRON and Le Corpse de Mince Francoise, Pets on Prozac and Les Gilettes, which has already resulted in a nomination for the upcoming NME awards and, recently, a showcase at this year's Eurosonic/Noorderslag festival.
Introducing a fresh, exciting strand of electro, the New Judas crew combine a clear vision on the future of electronic music with a playful, genre bending attitude. In inviting New Judas to the Flex Bar, TAFKAF re-asserts their pioneering status in the Dutch electronic music scene, besides being well on its way to becoming Amsterdam's favorite underground hotspot.
