Sounds Like
The music playing in the place where fear and hope meet, and wait for resolution; like love lost and gained in the most unexpected ways.
The Certain Someones came together in September of 2005, and have steadily been learning a catalogue of songs written by Gwen Greer; catchy, melodic pop/folk/rock driven songs, full of joy, heartache and resolution, and best, possibility. Gwen (vox, guitar, bass) had been performing solo, and decided she is just still young and carefree enough to form a band, and allow other passionate artists finesse her material into being all that it can be. With the production of Dave Banks of Energy Command Studio, a band demo is now available for your listening pleasure. Byron (bass, mandolin) and Anthony (drums) found Gwen through ads she placed in the Music section of the Chicago Craigslist. Don (lead guitar) is an Associate Producer at Energy Command Studio, appears on the demo here.
All have a passion and talent for music and for performance, and consider themselves lucky to be playing together. And how! Email us to sign up for our monthly newsletter, full of news and reviews, jokes about musicians, pics of the band, and household cleaning tips. Just kidding about that last one - unless that's something you'd like to see - we aim to please.
Just so everybody reading this knows...The Certain Someones are killer music artists. We think you should attend all their shows, buy all of their CDs and T-shirts and be sure to put a Certain Someones sticker on the bumper of your Toyota (or whatever you drive).
Hi! :-) Thanks for adding me! I've uploaded some new pictures and a live version of "Lay Them Down" from the cd release concert at the Triple Door here in Seattle last week. Enjoy! xoxo
