Sounds Like
A helluva good time for all (think Fleetwood Mac with an edge)
So picture this; Natalie Merchant meets Stevie Nicks at a club featuring Willie Nelson jamming with Lynyrd Skynyrd. The Chapman Swifts have created their own brand of rock ‘n’ roll by infusing elements of classic rock, Americana and funk.
The Chapman Swifts formed in the winter 2004, comprised of members that had played together in other northwest bands. In Spring 2007, the band recorded their first full length album at Portland’s well known Jackpot! Studios with producer/engineer Jordan Richter (The Legendary Shack Shakers, Caves – see www.myspace.com/jordanaudio1 ). Release of the album later that year was followed by a series of shows at favorite local venues in Portland and surrounding areas. The band was recently featured in the indie film “On The Wing” by Portland director Dan Viens.
The Chapman Swifts owe their name to the locally famous birds, the Vaux or “Chapman” swifts. We highly encourage you to learn more about this spectacular natural phenomenon.

"The Arabs" (add the words "official site" to the end the URL).
It should tell about gigs there. It's kinda funny, cos The Arabs are playing Mississippi Pizza on the 11th, and Dinner Pelonca is playing White Eagle on the 17th. Like ships in the night, right?
Oh my it's been awhile. It looks like things have change with the band members. life has been busy but I see you have a show tonight and I'm going to try and make it out, it's been a long time since I've been to a show. Take care and I hope all is well.
