Influences
old school JA ska, 2 tone ska revival, all reggae, punk rock(Strummer Lives!)
The Chariots have played DC Venues for about 2 1/2 years with great artists such as HR(Human Rights) leadsinger for the Bad Brains, The One Night Band, McRad(Chuck Treece),Regatta 69(Germany),The Ready Steady Go, The Screws, the Expos, Omega Band, the Hypnotix, and many others now. We have built a good following and are in the process of recording a studio level album . DC hardcore was what we were raised on but we got wrapped up in reggae and ska and mixing them all for new sounds. We rocksteady and sometimes we rock out with a deffinite D.C. punk vibe. Our shows are usually mellow with people skanking and feeling IRIE. Come out and feel the Rudeness!!!
