'The Chavs' were formed through the friendship of 2 very special lads - Tim Burgess & Carl Barat (Noodles & Max). It was drunkenly decided on a bus trip from LA to San Diego... So back in the UK, they were approached by the notorious Mr. Dean Fragile of the infamous Tap'n'Tin to play their first & supposedly ONLY show.
The day of the gig - Carl ended up bringing along Andy Burrows (Razorlight) for back up & Tim brought along Mr. Martin Duffy (Primal Scream/Felt) for support & with a little less than half an hour rehearsal in a cafe' at in a studio in London (long story & it involves Ronnie Wood)... off into the night, they drove to Chatham & were on 'the stage' at the Tap'n'Tin (pub) in Dec. of 2004 for that surpassing show...
That night The Chavs ended up supporting the Buff Medways (Billy Childish) - not too shabby for a first gig! As well as making it to the cover the NME.
Since then they have decided to play/reform only when needed/allowed... Yet, some upcoming goals/aspirations include to record The Chavs - already written & rehearsed single: 'I Always Crack a Smile', to expand the lineup, and to hopefully one day play any where at a local near you!!!
So, watch this space and long for The Chavs... ..This profile was edited with MySpaceHome.Net Profile Editor
